This 104,000 sf Main Library for the City of Santa Monica is a classic design-build project with a modern twist - the project obtained a LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. The library features a café and courtyard, computer labs, auditorium space and a 560-car subterranean parking structure. Sustainable highlights include a 200,000-gallon storm water retention tank, drought-tolerant landscaping, natural daylighting, perimeter daylight dimming controls, UV glass, electrified shades and underfloor air distribution system.
