Morley has built on over 70 acres on the east side of the University of California, Irvine campus. The construction totals over 1,753 units, 4,800 beds and over two million square feet of apartment space worth over $280 million from 2002 to 2010. The third phase of UCI’s student housing development consists of three distinct sites: Puerta del Sol (Site 1), Camino del Sol (Site 2), and a 530,000-square-foot parking structure (Site 3).
Puerta del Sol features housing in three, 4-story apartment buildings with 389 units and a community building. This graduate housing development has 300,000 square feet of residential buildings with 565 beds in five unit types ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments. This phase of the project achieved LEED Gold certification.
Camino del Sol includes 22, three-story apartment townhomes with 331 units, an 11,800-square-foot community building, and a maintenance building. This undergraduate housing development features 485,000 square feet of gross residential space with 1,198 beds in units ranging from one- to four-bedrooms. A pool complex and outdoor kitchen are also included in the project. This phase of the project achieved LEED Gold certification.
UCI East Campus Phase III Parking Structure is a seven-story cast-in-place parking structure built to accommodate 1,822 vehicles. The 530,000-square-foot structure consists of 19,500 cubic yards of concrete.
