Charles Muttillo
President

Having begun his career at Morley over 37 years ago, Charlie Muttillo now serves as President. Today, his sights are set on a Morley future ripe with innovation and sustainable growth. But despite the promise of tomorrow, it remains paramount to Charlie that the company never waivers from its founding principles. He credits Morley’s founders and their core beliefs for making Morley the construction company to which California businesses, developers and public institutions can turn for buildings of enduring value and for builders of enduring integrity. Of course, he’s proud of Morley’s projects, but according to Charlie, it’s the caring, commitment and charisma of the company’s employee owners and tradesmen that have made it all possible. He sees the coming years as being marked by new business relationships, new technical accomplishments, even more noteworthy projects, more robust communications and enduring financial success. Charlie lectures at UCLA Extension’s Construction Management Program and serves as Vice Chair for Santa Monica’s Building & Safety Commission. He serves as a board member for Affordable Living for the Aging and formerly was President of USC’s Architectural Guild and the Downtown Breakfast Club.

VP Preconstruction & Estimating
Jeff Simonson
VP Preconstruction & Estimating

Jeff Simonson applies his vast experience on the operations side of the business to his leadership role for Morley’s preconstruction and estimating services. The overarching responsibility in his role, and his true talent, is helping owners and their consultants achieve their budgets. Courtesy of effective collaborations with both clients and his internal team based upon clear, consistent and transparent communications, Jeff guides clients to the decisions and material choices that best suit the project type. He takes enormous pride in Morley’s long-standing reputation for providing for a fair deal at the right price. He is tireless in his efforts to ensure his personal reputation is just as solid, and he relishes the fact that Morley has never been a “volume builder.” Beyond the company’s successful history and track record of coming through for clients, Jeff sees credibility as being earned through pure and simple hard work. In addition to evaluating constructability issues, exploring options and analyzing solutions, Jeff’s responsibilities also include working with internal teams and with outside software consultants to create and deliver the next-gen estimating tools that further enhance the efficiencies of Revit and BIM.

VP Construction Operations
Ron Elazar
VP Construction Operations

Clients experience an easier, more reliable and comfortable construction process at Morley. That’s due in large part to Ron Elazar, Morley’s head of construction operations. It’s the project controls he implements and the clean lines of communication he maintains, after all, that enable the consistent quality for which Morley has become synonymous. Ron’s reputation for bringing projects in on-time and on-budget has become legendary in the industry, and doing whatever it takes to honor our word has been pivotal to the company’s growth and success. Whether coaching soccer or mentoring his construction managers, Ron brings out the best in others. He motivates with humor, empathy, and a strong belief in the power of genuine collaboration. Serving as a mentor and seeing the next generation come into its own have always been rewarding experiences for Ron, an ideal match for his role inspiring the work and innovations of his construction managers and their teams. Ron is gratified by seeing his people grow, by instilling ethics and drive in his teams, and confident that as more people learn of the unique value Morley’s employee-owners bring to virtually every type of construction project, the company will continue to grow.

VP San Diego Regional Manager
Mike Archibald
VP San Diego Regional Manager

Responsible for Morley’s San Diego operations, Mike Archibald wants to see the company further expand upon its reputation and continue to create the kind of project successes that lead to relationships worth celebrating. He takes great pride in the company’s uncanny ability to partner with other general contractors and serving as their structural concrete specialist of choice. Other general contractors aren’t accustomed to such a roll-up-our-sleeves, team-spirited subcontractor. It’s rare that a single company would have been responsible for over $600MM in on-time, on-budget San Diego regional projects. But, according to Mike, Morley remains the one concrete subcontractor celebrated by builders, owner-developers and municipalities alike. He attributes Morley’s success to the quality of its tradesmen and their proven ability to execute any project no matter how complex or unique. Courtesy of the chemistry on his team, and the chemistry they create with clients, Mike anticipates even more challenging projects and greater worldwide adoption of the techniques Morley has pioneered. A straight-forward Army veteran, Archibald doesn’t like to sugarcoat things. While he concedes that construction and concrete are never issue-free undertakings, for Mike, it’s the “above and beyond” psychology in Morley’s people that have solidified its reputation for consummate professionalism and steady, day-in, day-out performance. Past President of the American Concrete Institute’s San Diego chapter, Mike injects his all-in, fun-loving personality into his weekends, spending time biking, enjoying the beach with family and friends and supporting youth athletics.
