Morley Builders Named 2025 Contractor of the Year by Chinese American Construction Professionals

Morley Builders is proud to be named Contractor of the Year by the Chinese American Construction Professionals (CACP) at their 43rd Annual Awards Banquet, held in San Gabriel, California. This recognition celebrates our enduring commitment to excellence, innovation, and community impact across Southern California.

The annual awards banquet brought together leaders from across the construction, engineering, and architectural industries to celebrate trailblazers, share resources, and strengthen professional networks. It also highlighted the strength of the immigrant community, the importance of diversity in the industry, and the role of organizations like CACP in connecting professionals and nurturing future leaders.

Accepting the award on behalf of Morley Builders, Vice President, Project Executive Mike Stone shared heartfelt reflections on the company’s mission and legacy:

“At Morley Builders, we believe that construction is more than just building structures—it’s about shaping communities, creating spaces that inspire, and leaving a legacy of quality and care.”

An employee-owned company, Morley Builders has contributed to some of Southern California’s most iconic projects including SoFi Stadium, UCLA Health Training Center – Home of the LA Lakers, the Getty Villa Renovation, and the California Science Center Expansion. But beyond landmark buildings, Morley’s impact is deeply rooted in community service and affordable housing.

Since 1995, Morley has completed over 50 affordable housing projects, including FLOR 401 Lofts in Downtown and Crocker Umeya near Little Tokyo. These efforts have helped thousands find stable housing and a sense of home. As Stone noted:

“To hear how residents embrace their new home, share their stories, and describe how housing security has changed their lives is heartwarming and inspiring.”

The company’s connection to CACP was strengthened through partnerships with PMA and AC Martin, with whom Morley is currently collaborating on Together California Children’s Village—a transformative foster care campus in Palmdale that will allow siblings to remain together in a safe, supportive environment.

This year’s banquet also acknowledged the recent wildfire crisis, with CACP offering discounted resources and builder contacts to support affected communities—underscoring the organization’s commitment to service and resilience.

We extend our deepest thanks to CACP for this meaningful honor and look forward to continuing our shared mission of building a more inclusive, connected, and inspired future.
