Morley Builders was proud to be recognized as Contractor of the Year by PVJOBS as part of their 20th Annual Recognition Luncheon on September 28th. This year’s fundraiser brought out local city dignitaries, CBO leaders and construction industry influencers in support of PV Jobs mission in placing Los Angeles’ disadvantaged population – those coming out of homelessness, welfare or incarceration – into career-track employment.
Morley was honored for exceeding its hiring goals; honorees included Visionary of the Year Gloria Gray of West Basin Municipal Water District.
PVJOBS is a nonprofit corporation that was formed in 1998 to fulfill a Los Angeles City Council mandate to provide at-risk residents with construction job opportunities at the Playa Vista development site. Over the years, PVJOBS has become a national leader for job programs serving the at-risk community. Today, PVJOBS maintains contracts with numerous development projects throughout greater Los Angeles.
