Morley Construction San Diego recently performed the largest concrete pour in our history: 6,649 cubic yards of concrete – or 13,455 tons – were poured as part of the foundation for the San Diego Central Courthouse project. The pour involved more than 700 concrete deliveries, supplying concrete to 5 truck-pumps.
Keeping cool under all this concrete required another first for Morley. To mitigate heat gain, nearly 12 miles of chilled water piping were required. This cooling method represents the first time that a thermal chilling system has been used in San Diego, and a first for Morley Concrete!
