Phase II Groundbreaking Marks Major Milestone for Colibrí at Restorative Care Village

Morley Builders is excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Phase II of Colibrí at Restorative Care Village, a transformative affordable and supportive housing development on the Los Angeles General Medical Center campus. As the contractor currently constructing Phase I, Morley is proud to see continued momentum behind a project that will ultimately deliver 296 affordable homes for individuals, families, and seniors, including permanent supportive housing for formerly unhoused residents. The milestone reflects the collaborative efforts of Los Angeles County, Century Housing, and community partners committed to addressing the region’s critical housing needs.

The second phase will add 149 affordable homes for seniors ages 62 and older, including 75 permanent supportive housing units for formerly unhoused seniors. Together, both phases will create stable, long-term housing opportunities for households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income, with affordability preserved for at least 75 years. The development will also feature community-focused amenities and infrastructure improvements, including enhanced pedestrian and bicycle connections, upgraded sidewalks, lighting, and crosswalks that better connect surrounding neighborhoods to the medical campus.

Beyond housing, Colibrí at Restorative Care Village is part of a broader vision to integrate housing, healthcare, behavioral health services, and supportive resources in one location. Morley Builders is honored to help bring this vision to reality and is excited to support the simultaneous delivery of both Phase I and Phase II. As construction continues across the development, this milestone represents meaningful progress toward expanding access to affordable housing and creating lasting community impact for generations to come.
