Cesar Chavez Gardens is a Type V, wood-frame building featuring 70 apartment units for low-income families and seniors in downtown Los Angeles. The development features a 3,500-square-foot childcare center, recreational room, family support services, laundry facilities, and one level of subterranean parking for 35 cars. Special funding for the project consisted of a variety of sources which included LAHD, CRA, Little Tokyo Service Center, and Chinatown Services Center, making it a truly collaborative development to enhance the City of Los Angeles.
