High Place East and West

High Place West, the first phase of the project, is situated on nearly an acre of land provides a much needed 47 affordable- to low-income housing units. Built shortly after and adjacent to the first phase, High Place East provides 44 units of affordable- to low-income housing. Many sustainable elements were incorporated into the design including photovoltaic panels on the roof, a hydronic hot water system serving the community center, zero VOC paints and cabinetry and energy star appliances. Landscapes were also designed with sustainability in mind, using native drought-resistant plants. The project was funded by Community Corporation of Santa Monica.
