As part of the recent downtown transformation, South Park – a large mixed-use development on six acres – is redefining the urban profile of Los Angeles’ South Park district. Morley Builders teamed with Tishman Construction for this portion of the development featuring 362 apartment units in two, seven-story buildings comprising five stories of Type III wood frame over two stories of Type I construction. Two levels of subterranean parking accommodate 402 cars and cater to environmentally conscious residents with 40 charging stations for electric vehicles. The large bicycle room and maintenance area houses up to 400 bikes. Amenities include a modern porte cochère between the two lobbies, double-height lofts, business and conference rooms, fitness center, yoga room and a pool and spa. Pet-friendly, the building includes and dog run and dog wash center. WREN also includes 4,000 sf of retail space and close proximity to the Blue and Expo lines’ Pico Station.
