711 New Hampshire is a 100% affordable and supportive housing development consisting of new construction of a six-story residential apartment building and adaptive reuse of an existing three-story historical mansion. The new building will be composed of slab-on-grade, two concrete decks, and five levels of Type III wood framing above. The historical mansion will be renovated to include additional units for the property; when complete, the project will provide 95 units for those who have previously experienced homelessness. The development includes a lobby, community room, supportive/case management program space, and one level of below-grade parking.
The design of the new building complements the architecture of the mansion in both color and material and establishes a campus-like environment. A ground-floor covered breezeway traverses a middle courtyard and connects the two buildings.
